We have been privileged this year to work with the University Hospitals Birmingham Charity promoting their initiatives to help raise vital funds to support patients and their families, spending time away from home.

Being in hospital can be really hard for children and their parents, especially around the holidays so we were delighted to be able to end the year by getting involved and donating to Good Hope Hospital’s Christmas’ Toy Tree’ appeal and be able to bring a little festive cheer with gifts for the big day!

We sponsored a Toy Tree for Good Hope Hospital and our Director, Ian Clorley went to see the good work being carried out on the children’s ward and presented a cheque for £5,000.

Employees dug deep during the Half Term break (literally) and spent a few days clearing woodland and building planters for a local primary school in Solihull as part of an initiative created by Match My Project and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.

The Match My Project portal provides a platform for local schools, community groups, small businesses and charity organisations to post requests for support in delivering small projects to benefit the area and businesses, such as ourselves, can sign up to the portal and commit to taking part in any of the requests posted and provide free resource, materials or support to deliver the work.

As part of our social value commitment to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council under a current contract we are delivering, we identified some opportunities with Haslucks Green Primary School and worked with the school to clear parts of their forest school to make way for new planting areas and screening as well as constructing some planters ready for the pupils to start using as part of their curriculum.
